Nantou: The Nantou Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau recently detected black bear activity in the vicinity of the popular Nanshan Section 3 hiking route, a frequently traversed path, through infrared camera monitoring. As the area is near the 36-kilometer mark of the Jundai Forest Road, a routine camping spot for hikers at an altitude of approximately 2,680 meters, hikers are strongly advised to exercise caution when passing through this location.
