The 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition grandly opened last Saturday, with various peripheral events and performances being launched one after another. To encourage Taipei County residents to actively participate in the Flora Expo, the period from 11/6 to 11/14 has been specially designated as the “Taipei County Activity Week.” During these ten days, Taipei County residents can enjoy half-price admission to the expo by simply presenting their ID card or driver’s license. Additionally, many outstanding performance groups have been invited to stage shows, promising an exciting experience.

The Taipei County - Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that being able to enter the park at half price is a great value offer. To showcase the diverse facets of Taipei County, during the “Taipei County Activity Week” at the Flora Expo’s Xinxing Park “Flower Dream Plaza,” high-quality artistic performances can be enjoyed for free. Groups such as the “Chanson Chamber Orchestra,” “Fangxiang Dance Troupe,” “Eight Directions Orchestra,” “Water Shadow Dance Ensemble,” “Lucky Clover Puppet Troupe,” “Cai Cai Music Troupe,” and “Xinyan Dance Troupe” will perform from 10:00 to 11:00 daily for ten days at the “Flower Dream Plaza” in the Xinxing Park area. Many groups have also creatively designed floral-themed works in response to the charming spirit of the Flower Expo.
The “Flora Expo Pop-up Pavilion – Far Eastern Eco-Ark” boasts a refreshing and innovative design.
The performing groups participating this time are all outstanding and mentoring arts troupes that have been selected for many years and have deep roots in Taipei County. They are often invited to perform abroad, and they will all be presented together during the “Taipei County Activity Week.” Taipei County residents and the general public are welcome to visit the Flora Expo to appreciate the culture and arts of Taipei County.
