Waffles paired with ice cream have become a popular afternoon tea combo in recent years. The concept of freshly baked and made-to-order has also become one of the key trends in Taiwan’s food and beverage scene. For the first time, COLD STONE has selected six stores nationwide to launch its freshly made ice cream waffles — the HOT STONE “Hot Stone” series. Featuring three flavors — vanilla apple, strawberry banana, and classic chocolate — the new range aims to attract dessert lovers and draw in new customers.
COLD STONE has introduced the “Hot Stone” waffle series to appeal to more consumers who love sweets.
In addition to expanding its made-to-order offerings, COLD STONE has also launched the world’s first proprietary brand of fruit tea. Combining two of the most popular beverage elements — tea and fruit — and developed in collaboration with a leading beverage manufacturer, the new line includes Blueberry Black Tea and Mango Oolong, each priced at NT$55. Zheng Tingting, Chief Operating Officer of Cold Stone Creamery Taiwan, noted that this year’s economic recovery and increased consumer spending have led to a surge in popularity for pastries and baked goods, many of which are now made fresh on-site. In response, COLD STONE has developed a new product line based on its existing business foundation to attract new customers, resulting in the creation of the HOT STONE “Hot Stone” waffle series.
COLD STONE has also introduced various proposals and festive product lines for the Lunar New Year.
With the Lunar New Year approaching, COLD STONE has rolled out a variety of festive offerings. First, the brand has upgraded its popular black sesame ice cream from last year by adding premium, fine bamboo charcoal powder, creating a visually striking and flavorful “Black Gold” ice cream. For toppings, it uses soft and chewy mini sesame rice balls and red-skinned sweet potatoes from Japan’s Kanto region, offering a uniquely delicious flavor. For Lunar New Year gift sets, COLD STONE has introduced the “Spring Joy Gift Box” featuring an ice cream bowl set with an eco-friendly tote bag, the “Spring Sentiment Gift Box” ice cream set, the “Century Good Box” Cool Cup gift set available for pre-order at 7-ELEVEN, and the first-ever Cool Rabbit plush toy — all of which are especially popular among young people and office workers as diverse and affordable gifting options. Beyond gift boxes, COLD STONE has also launched its first “Cool Gold Card,” offering exclusive discounts to its ice cream fans.
