Join us at the ‘Zhiben Spring Festival – Love Zhiben, A Festival of Fire and Light’ !
Taiwan’s East Coast, with its beautiful mountains and clear waters, is perfect for travel.
Organized by the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration in March, the ‘Zhiben Spring Festival’ lasts for a whole month. During the event, domestic and international performance troupes as well as famous singers are invited to Zhiben. The festival also features a hot spring food carnival and fireworks displays, gathering the crowds in a lively and colorful atmosphere. The opening week includes eco-friendly balloon doves for visitors to make wishes, as well as flame performances by fire dance groups that are dazzling and vibrant. Famous singers such as Fish Leong, Annie Yi, Lu Xueyang, Black Child Band, and Guo Minglong will also be there to kick off the Spring Festival in high spirits.

The second week, ‘The Ultimate Folk Song Competition,’ invites Yin Zhengyang, Yu Taiyan, Li Mingde, and Little River Band to perform folk songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, bringing back youthful memories. The third week, ‘Farewell !! Youth Ridge,’ is a classic Mandarin and Taiwanese oldies competition, featuring Da Baihe, Hsieh Lei, Kao Xiangpeng, and star singer Zhang Shitang, taking you back to the glamorous past. The fourth week, ‘The Glorious Era, A Brilliant Splash,’ invites the internationally renowned group ‘National Theatre Troupe’ and bard Dakanao. The event opens with a blessing ritual of jumping over Zhong Kui, followed by performances by kung fu beauties and indigenous dances—dynamic and passionate. Interested visitors can head to Taitung to enjoy the rich experiences of the Zhiben Spring Festival.
