Have you been to the flower expo? People all over Taiwan are crazy about it. During the recent consecutive holidays, it even set a record of 150,000 visitors in a single day. Many queued overnight starting at midnight just to get reservation tickets for the popular Dream Hall exhibit, which were all gone by 5:30 a.m. With only 54 days left until the expo closes, the flower expo organizers are urging visitors to go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays to enjoy a better experience.
Don’t wait any longer if you haven’t been to the flower expo yet!
The flower expo organizers say there are still 2.5 million presale tickets that haven’t been used, and they urge people not to wait any longer—because as closing day approaches, crowds will only get bigger. Statistics since the opening show that Tuesdays are the least crowded weekdays, with an average of 37,533 visitors, followed by Wednesdays with an average of 38,685. Visiting on these two days means you won’t find yourself in a “more people than flowers” situation.

The “2011 Taipei International Orchid Show” will be held from February 26 to March 20 in Zones A and B of the Flower Expo’s Competition Hall. The first “Hundred Flowers Bloom · Orchid Feast” series of competitions featured 914 individual plants and 105 potted orchids competing in the “Individual Flower Competition,” “Potted Flower Arrangement Competition,” and “Rare Flower Competition.” Interested visitors can go and admire these internationally acclaimed orchids.
In addition, the Dream Hall has announced it will remain open after the flower expo closes, with operations extended until June next year. Opening hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and until 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Each session lasts about seven minutes, but the ticket pricing has not yet been finalized.
