MomKnows knows how beautiful Hualien Shan is and, in an ad exchange with HowToTrip, is offering MomKnows readers an ultra-great deal on weekday double rooms for NT$1,399; four-person rooms for NT$2,399. After deducting the highest tier of the autumn-winter subsidy of NT$1,000, weekdays start at just NT$399 per night (including two breakfasts), for only three hot sale days!!! No lies, no hidden fees—now is the best time to visit Hualien.

This time is different from the past; the only way to purchase is by filling out the online form to book. Once your hotel reservation is successful, you will receive an SMS notification to pay the deposit. If payment is not made within three days, the spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. The subsidy procedure and final payment will be handled upon check-in, and the hotel will issue an invoice. This time, you can use the National Travel Card.

Past popular deals have overwhelmed the hotel’s hotline. Please help out—the hotel is busy handling bookings and doesn’t have the staff to answer phone calls. If you have any questions, please contact MomKnows customer service. Join MomKnows for a worry-free trip at [email protected], and our little helper will assist you!

Cheng Yi Cultural Tourism · Hualien Shan Zhidao (Hotelday Plus Hualien)
Address: No. 39, Guolian 1st Rd., Hualien City, Hualien County
Phone: 03-8333111
Official Website: http://www.hotelday.com.tw/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/954163498001105/

[Cheng Yi Cultural Tourism · Hualien Shan Zhidao]
Located to the left in front of Hualien Railway Station, just a 5-minute walk away. Next door are various car rental companies and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle services. The area is filled with specialty shops offering local delicacies (including Amis Maja, Hualien County Cake, Zeng Ji Maja, etc.).
The hotel offers a free bicycle rental service, allowing travelers to explore downtown Hualien by bike. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the Railway Cultural Park, Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park, Songyuan Guesthouse, and Dongmen Night Market.

The exterior design of the hotel features cobblestones from the Hualien River, stacked to form the stone pillars of the building, integrating local Hualien characteristics into the architectural design. At the entrance stands the exclusive mascot of Cheng Yi Cultural Tourism Group — the dream beast “Hanjie,” which sounds like “sweet potato” in Taiwanese Hokkien. It symbolizes a spirit with a touch of naivety but brave in pursuing dreams, capable of sending back postcards written with travelers’ dreams to them a year later, checking whether those dreams have come true.

The five small stones on top of “Hanjie”’s head represent that “Hualien Shan Zhidao” is the fifth property under Cheng Yi. ※Presenting a postcard upon returning to any Cheng Yi property (with postmark as proof) will bring you a little surprise.

Push open the large floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and unlike conventional hotel styles, it feels more like an artistic art gallery, allowing travelers to wander in a world of cultural creativity. With metal, stone, smooth wooden tables and chairs, indigenous hunting tools, traditional indigenous musical instruments, and ethnic textiles, guests can immerse themselves in the local Hualien atmosphere.

At the bottom of the lobby, there is an approximately 3-meter-high indoor climbing wall, resembling a mini Taroko Gorge, where guests and children can challenge their courage on the steep cliffs. Or you can play with static wooden building blocks with your child, put down your phone and spend more time with your little one.

[Hualien Shan Zhidao], themed around the cultural tourism concept of “stones are the seeds of mountains and seas,” uses stones, colored threads, and fabrics as floor numbering on each level, inspired by the mandatory weaving techniques of the Truku women.

Breakfast is served in a self-service buffet restaurant, offering a variety of Chinese and Western dishes. The hotel thoughtfully provides danzai noodles. After my stay, I felt that breakfast alone was worth more than NT$399, and it was more generous than other hotels priced at NT$2,399. I believe everyone can find something delicious here, eat their fill, refresh both body and mind, and start the day full of energy.

[Nearby Attractions]
The room thoughtfully provides a map of nearby attractions. After subsidy, just NT$399 per night. Take advantage of this offer to stay for three days and two nights and fully experience the wonderful mountain and sea vibes of Hualien.
