There’s a bus stop right at the hotel entrance—Jiabaotai. Every day, over 23 Taichung City buses run from Fengyuan, Taichung High-Speed Rail Station, and Taichung Railway Station to Guguan. Thanks to a new policy by the Taichung City Government, now with an EasyCard, iPass, or Yoyo Card, taking the bus from Taichung High-Speed Rail, Fengyuan, or Dongshi to Guguan costs only 60 yuan, and the first 10 kilometers are even free.
To reach attractions near the Guguan Bus Terminal, such as the Guguan Hot Spring Park, it’s just a ten-minute walk—very convenient. It’s great for buying a trip for the elderly or coming with friends, and you might not even have to pay for the bus.

The main bus service to and from Guguan is Taoyuan Bus. Both the exterior and interior are very modern. The Guguan Bus Terminal sees many seniors daily who come to soak in the hot springs or transfer to buses heading to Lishan, Wuling Farm, or Fushoushan Farm. Across the street in Osmanthus Alley, there’s a cool boss who insists on simmering tea eggs for three days—each egg is just 10 yuan, and they’re honestly the best I’ve ever tasted.
The most famous spots are the Sashuai Suspension Bridge and walking trail, which connects both sides of the Dajia River. Both sides are lined with hot spring hotels, giving it a very Japanese vibe. Strolling here feels like being in another country, and the air is surprisingly fresh.
