The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum has launched a special discount campaign for families to visit together during the winter holiday to see the “Best of Japanese Art” exhibition. From the 14th to February 12th, one parent purchasing a full-price ticket can bring up to three junior high school students or younger for free to view the exhibition.

The National Palace Museum announced today that this winter vacation coincides with the museum’s “Best of Japanese Art – Treasures from Tokyo and Kyushu Museums” exhibition, which showcases classic Japanese cultural artifacts. To encourage family visits, the Southern Branch has introduced a special family package ticket promotion.

The museum noted that from the 14th to February 12th, as long as one parent buys a full-price ticket (NT$250), they can bring three students under junior high school age for free to enjoy the “Best of Japanese Art” special exhibition. There are also other discount programs available for groups, students, and residents of Chiayi City and County.

Aside from the special discounts for the Japanese art exhibition, the museum will continue to offer a winter holiday afternoon tea experience every Saturday, suitable for family participation. On the 14th, there will be a “knot tying” workshop that the whole family can enjoy together, bringing the blessings of “knots” home. On the 21st, families are invited to dress up in yukata and take part in a costume show. 1060112
