Remember the previous battle over the Kyushu Kyouko Tonkatsu franchise? The contract held by Bono Food Service for Kyushu Kyouko Tonkatsu is set to expire at the end of May, and after June 1, the “Kyushu Kyouko Tonkatsu” brand will no longer exist. Recently, the Kyushu Kyouco Tonkatsu SOGO Tienmu branch has already been changed to Seiji Tonkatsu as of May 1, the SOGO Fuxing store will become Shousei Tonkatsu, and the standalone store located behind the Technology Building MRT station will simply be closed.

After Ikkaku International acquired the franchise for Kyushu Kyouko Tonkatsu, it expanded under the name “Ginza Kyouko Tonkatsu.” In an ongoing effort to capture more of Taiwan’s tonkatsu market, Bono Food Service has successively secured the sole agency rights for Shizuoka Shousei Tonkatsu and Isejiro Shousei Tonkatsu in Taiwan. Currently, Shizuoka Shousei Tonkatsu has six outlets in Taiwan, and the first Isejiro Shousei Tonkatsu store is located in Breeze Songgao Department Store. With the upcoming renovation of the former Kyushu Kyouko Tonkatsu SOGO Fuxing store, the total number of stores will come to two.
