From October 15 to November 30, the Zhubei City Government is launching the “Zhubei Cultural Stroll Mini-Trip,” combining the area’s local agricultural and fishing industries with unique tourist attractions to create a series of special tour routes. These allow visitors to deeply immerse themselves in Zhubei’s culture and enjoy the city to the fullest.

Mayor He Ganming noted that the Zhubei Cultural Stroll Mini-Trip features four major themes: “Limited Banquet at the Grey Mullet Festival,” “Big Hands Holding Little Hands Family Tour,” “Journey Towards Becoming an Artisan,” and “Family Nature and Culture Stroll.” The itineraries can be enjoyed as one-day or two-day trips, offering visitors the chance to experience different facets of Zhubei.

The “Limited Banquet at the Grey Mullet Festival” ties in with the Zhubei Grey Mullet Festival event, taking visitors to the fishing villages in western Zhubei. Not only can you enjoy fun and engaging fishing-related activities, but you can also cast nets, fish, play woodblock games, and join in the lively festivities while feasting on a traditional grey mullet banquet—delighting in the ocean’s bounty.

The “Big Hands Holding Little Hands Family Tour” offers four itineraries available as one-day or two-day trips. Children can experience being little beekeepers, getting up close with bees, and even making honey lemonade and lime vinegar. Alternatively, they can visit sweet potato farms to dig up sweet potatoes, make sweet potato balls, and participate in a family picnic party on the grass.

The “Journey Towards Becoming an Artisan” is designed for those interested in baking, offering the chance to hand-knead bread in a distinctive traditional house. There is also a one-day fisherman experience, where participants can explore ecological ponds, cast nets to catch fish, and enjoy fresh seafood, all while embracing the fun of life as a coastal fisher.

The “Family Nature and Culture Stroll” includes three itineraries. In addition to local agricultural and fishing experiences, it also features a cultural tour of Zhubei’s history, guiding visitors through spots such as the Shuitian Forest Park, Tofu Rock, the Liujia Historic Houses, and the Xinwawu Hakka Cultural Park.
