On the 15th, the Taichung City Family Education Center held a board game and challenge activity, inviting students and parents from Longquan Elementary School to participate together. Through various family and community roles set in the board games, parents and children gained an understanding of the diverse forms and richness of families, thereby fostering attitudes of respect and inclusiveness and warming up family relationships.

The Education Bureau noted that this course was led by the volunteer team of the Family Education Center, which designed board games and challenge activities. By using a random card-drawing method, children were grouped into families with different ethnicities, nationalities, and housing types. It is hoped that through the games, while finding commonalities, children will also become more aware of the existence of diverse family types around them, thus cultivating respect and inclusiveness.

The Education Bureau stated that there were also characters such as super dads and fitness-loving grandmas in the cards, aiming to use fun and educational methods to break away from traditional gender stereotypes. At the same time, children are also encouraged to put down their mobile phones and tablets and actively participate in parent-child activities.

The Family Education Center emphasized that in addition to board games, challenge games were also arranged today, allowing children to experience household role division and a test of teamwork, promoting harmonious relationships between parents and children. It is hoped that they will support each other in future life and jointly face upcoming challenges.
