A rustic-style café tucked in the alleys: the dreamy flavors of hazelnut latte and homemade brownies

I happened to pass by Ren’ai Park and discovered this café. After parking my car and stepping inside, I decided to document it in less than an hour.

The owner is good friends with the team behind "Private Collections No Secrets" — the two cafés share a similar vibe. The décor leans toward a cozy, everyday aesthetic, with plenty of enamel cookware displayed around for customers to browse and purchase. But what really caught my eye was a kitten under one year old, absolutely adorable. I couldn’t help but crouch under the table, captivated by it for ages — those little pink paw pads were just too cute.

I ordered a black sugar latte and a hazelnut latte (NT$140 each)
And also a piece of homemade banana chocolate brownie (with ice cream, NT$95)

The Italian-style coffee was unexpectedly good — the blend of specialty beans and milk was well-balanced, not overly bitter while still highlighting the aroma of the coffee. The milk foam was a bit weak, lacking that smooth and delicate texture. Both the lightly torched black sugar syrup and the hazelnut syrup played subtle roles without overpowering the drink. Overall, it was a very comforting and relaxing cup of coffee.

The brownie was soft and moist, with better quality than expected. Its magma-like chocolate texture was almost deceptive in its richness, truly delightful. In the relaxed, quiet atmosphere, the slightly melted ice cream gradually softened my heart — what a lovely afternoon.
