MERS outbreak impact: Mandarin Airlines suspends Taichung–Seoul flights until end of July

In response to the MERS outbreak, Mandarin Airlines announced today (11th) that it will cancel all Taichung–Seoul flights from tomorrow until the end of July. Passengers who have already booked and must travel will be assisted by Mandarin Airlines in transferring to China Airlines’ Taipei Taoyuan–Seoul flights.

For China Airlines, the Kaohsiung–Seoul route has been suspended until the end of July. The Taichung–Seoul Incheon route will be reduced from seven weekly flights to four; the Taipei Taoyuan–Seoul Incheon route will adjust aircraft types as needed; the Taipei Taoyuan–Busan route will be reduced from fourteen weekly flights to ten; the Taipei Songshan–Seoul Gimpo route will be reduced from three weekly flights to two. The total number of flights to South Korea will be cut from the original 42 per week to 27, a reduction of 15 flights.
