Feels like a vacation—enjoy seaside views at a Sanzhi café with exquisitely plated dishes!

As someone from the northern coast, we actually rarely visit cafés in Sanzhi or places like Qianshuiwan and Baishawan, haha. And Qianshuiwan cafés aren’t usually our go-to for meals either. But if friends are visiting or we’re having a get-together,Le Coq (Rooster) Café in Sanzhiis one of our favorites. We also like Vietnamese Bistro and Liuxia. There seem to be some new openings this year too—definitely worth checking out next time!

The Rooster’s sign isn’t big, but you’ll definitely spot it as you pass by. It’s close to the police station.

The entrance is super photogenic!!! A lot of fashion shoots take place here. It’s a bit of a pity that there’s quite a bit of clutter, and the space feels a bit small. It wasn’t this crowded the last time I came, XDDD.

Business is booming!!! Even on weekdays, it’s almost fully booked. That really surprised me!

I’ve shared some menu items for reference. Meals here by Qianshuiwan tend to be on the pricier side, since it’s more about the vibe. I think it’s also quite tough running a place like this—the busiest season is usually just summer. Other times are pretty quiet, and being by the sea means it’s often humid, so maintenance is extra important!!

Two weeks in a row, friends came to visit me at the northern coast, and they all wanted to try Le Coq. It was a great chance to try more dishes!

The dishes have become even more refined and super photogenic.

The pineapple ham scone is delicious!!! But the portion is huge—there are about four pieces inside. I was full after just 2–3 pieces, it was so filling XDDDDD. The scones are hearty, freshly baked, crispy, and there’s tons of cheese. It felt a bit indulgent afterward, haha.

Super colorful fruit smoothie!!! My friend said it was great—I didn’t try it. The white at the bottom is yogurt. The highlight is how great it looks in photos!!! Paired with the ocean, it’s such a perfect combo.

Huge fresh fruit tea. It’s 250 NT per cup, but I think it’s quite generous—the fruit is really plentiful!!! After eating all that fruit, I was done for the day, haha. I ended up having dinner very late >/////<

The Southeast Asian satay chicken leg pot is also pretty good. It has a richer flavor, pairs well with rice, and is perfect for summer when you have more of an appetite XDD. It also comes with fries—feels a bit guilty but also sweet.

Good weather and the ocean just put me in a great mood. Though I pass by the sea every day, I rarely sit down to enjoy it. I’ve lived in the northern coast since I was little—even though transportation is really inconvenient, it’s truly beautiful here.

Next, I want to tell you that Le Coq’s outdoor area is amazing for photos. I tried shooting from various angles with Anning and Daphne. Even though it was busy, the good weather made everything look wonderful.

We took a lot of test shots. For this half-body shot, standing a bit higher makes the photo look better. So remember to stand on your tiptoes like I did XDD.

The other side also looks amazing!!!! I love that string of pendant lights—it gives such a nice vibe in photos. Even though sitting outside in summer is a bit hot, with the ocean and drinks, it really feels relaxing and vacation-like.

There’s also a central area good for photos. But around noon, the lighting is harsher due to overhead sun.

Then on the pathway, we saw a Chinese girl taking tons of photos at one spot for over ten minutes!!! When she left, I quickly went with Anning to try it out—it really is a great spot. If you come, make sure to check it out, especially with the blue sky and white clouds, it’s perfect.

The downside is the wind is pretty strong, haha. But the electric fans add to the vibe.

It’s gotten cooler recently. Feels like autumn is coming—can’t wait. As long as it doesn’t rain, anyone who wants to come should enjoy the tail end of summer ^^.

We stayed for 4 hours. We got super sunburned, and I think I got a shade darker, haha. That’s a wrap!
