Tigerair Taiwan launches "Kaohsiung–Osaka" route; first sales start unexpectedly on the 15th from NT$999

Following its recent announcement to launch the Taoyuan–Osaka route, Tigerair Taiwan has now revealed it will also open the "Kaohsiung–Osaka" route. Both north and south routes will commence operations on July 3, marking Tigerair Taiwan’s third Japanese destination after Tokyo and Okinawa.

Tigerair Taiwan stated that Osaka is its second destination from Kaohsiung and also its first Northeast Asian destination in southern Taiwan.The "Kaohsiung–Osaka" route will operate one flight per day starting July 3; the outbound flight (IT284) departs from Kaohsiung International Airport at 4:05 p.m., while the return flight (IT285) takes off from Kansai International Airport in Osaka at 11:15 a.m..

To celebrate the launch of its first route to Japan from Kaohsiung, Tigerair Taiwan has specially designed a promotional campaign different from previous ones. StartingJune 15, tickets will be sold “without prior notice at any time”via the official website as part of the inaugural launch pricing.The introductory one-way fare starts from NT$999 (excluding tax).The promotional period ends at 11:59 p.m. on June 17, 2015. Tickets purchased now are valid for travel between July 3, 2015, and October 24, 2015.
