A retro yet playful hot spring hotel – 5 room types at Yilan Jia's Hotel

Jia's Hotel Yilan Jiaoxi is located near Jiaoxi Railway Station, just a five- to ten-minute walk away, offering very convenient transportation. Designed with a "retro recreation" concept, besides hot spring soaking, it also has a "Traditional Games Room" and a "Grandma's Stationery Shop" where guests can experience the innocence of "those years." There are 138 scenic hot spring rooms in total. The B1 level houses a large bathing area with light Japanese-style gender-segregated nude baths. Outside the first floor, there's also a maze-like open-air bath and the "Just Café" Japanese restaurant, filled with playful hand-drawn elements – ideal for families and young couples to enjoy a hot spring holiday.

5 Room Types
The hotel mainly offers Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, each equipped with a large hot spring tub and large windows that provide ample natural light. The hot spring area and shower room are designed within the same space, separate from the washroom. Wooden flooring adds warmth and a clean feel, while functional walls display small items like cups and tea bags, showcasing an efficient use of space.

"Just Café" Japanese Restaurant
The restaurant serves a traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner to guests, using local seasonal ingredients. The ceiling is lightly tinted to create a nostalgic vibe, and rows of spotlights lend a retro atmosphere. Cai Yiling, deputy marketing public relations manager at Jia’s Hotels, said: “The tables are made of pine and sugarcane wood.” Wooden furniture creates a warm dining environment.

First Floor Lounge

Grandma's Stationery Shop
Located on the second floor, the "Grandma's Stationery Shop" is a signature feature of Jia's Hotel Yilan Jiaoxi, full of handmade charm that aligns with today’s DIY trend. It caters not only to creative youngsters but also provides a perfect space for parents and kids to make small cards together and enjoy quality family time.

Hanging with numerous small pencil holders filled with colored pencils – all stationery provided by the hotel – the walls also display many handmade cards created by former guests. Paper tape is also available for guests to use freely. Hotel staff mentioned that such handmade projects are often guided by professional instructors. The wooden furniture, bookshelves, and numerous children’s books allow parents to read stories with their kids and create hand-drawn family artworks together. Additionally, the stamps and stationery items in the compartments are all usable – a must-visit for stationery lovers who enjoy journaling and stamp collecting.

Traditional Games Room
Also located on the second floor, the "Traditional Games Room" is full of old-school charm. The floor is painted with hopscotch, and the cabinets are filled with retro toys from childhood – such as slingshots, piggy banks, yo-yos, spinning tops, ring toss games, pinball machines, and colorful glass marbles – providing a space where families can play for an entire afternoon. Nearby, there are school desks and chairs where guests can pick their favorite toys from the cabinets and enjoy playing at the desk area.

Open-air Bath
Located outdoors on the first floor, the open-air bath is designed in a maze-like layout, covered with yellow rubber ducks, perfect for family fun. It also includes a shower area and large towels for guests.
