You don’t have to travel all the way to Baihe in Tainan to admire lotuses. There’s also a stunning lotus scenery within Taipei city. Located at Tongxin Pond in the Baishihu community of Neihu, it’s now the season when lotuses are in full bloom. The pristine white lotuses blend harmoniously with green leaves, complemented by purple lavender trailing along the pond’s edge, making it the most beautiful summer poetic scene in the northern suburbs of Taipei.

The Taipei City Department of Civil Engineering stated that the area around Tongxin Pond is extensively planted with lotuses. The lotus leaves stand upright in the water like small green umbrellas, gently swaying with the breeze. A large expanse of lush green leaves is dotted with pink flowers by the pond, complementing the surrounding woods and pavilions. After admiring the lotuses, visitors can also head to nearby hiking routes such as Couple Trees, Guizhupi, and Chunqiu Trail to enjoy the charm of summer nature.
