Today (26th), TransAsia Airways reported online that flight FE107, a Songshan–Tianjin flight, issued a Mayday (distress signal) over Pinglin Mountain area and then disappeared from radar. The airline also urgently contacted the real-time flight dynamic monitoring system, stating that it was “completely fabricated.” At the same time, in the afternoon, it also filed a report with the Aviation Police Bureau, intending to sue the netizen.
TransAsia Airways pointed out that on the Facebook fan page “Iron Bird Club,” which is mainly a platform for aviation enthusiasts to discuss topics, a post appeared today claiming that an aircraft had issued a mayday over Pinglin and then vanished. The airline stated that it has a real-time flight dynamic monitoring system and there were no abnormalities at all. The flight took off on schedule at 11:15 a.m. and landed at 2:10 p.m., with everything being normal.
TransAsia Airways emphasized that as a company engaged in transportation services, it has always placed great importance on flight safety and has been operating normally up to now. Unscrupulous individuals have spread rumors about flight B28037 online, which are completely baseless. The company has already initiated civil and criminal legal proceedings. In the afternoon, the legal department filed a report with the Aviation Police Bureau to pursue legal action.
