The 2015 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival will kick off this weekend on July 4 (Saturday). The annual festival, which always draws huge crowds, has this year collaborated with Taiwan Railways to launch a painted train in hopes of attracting even more attention. Named the "Fun-Fly Express," the train made its debut today (July 2) at 14:45 at Taipei Railway Station, and can be spotted during the festival's weekend dates.

The event organizer, Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau, stated that Taiwan Railways will add four extra train services between Taipei and Yilan every weekend during the festival period (July 4 to August 23), operated by the Fun-Fly Express. These trains will run between Shulin and Luodong to transport passengers to the festival. For departures towards Yilan and Luodong, the Taipei Station schedule is at 8:35 and 14:08 every Saturday and Sunday; for return trips heading back to Taipei from Luodong Station, departure times are 10:39 and 17:05. Ticket prices are the same as Taiwan Railways’ regular one-way fare of NT$153 for the local commuter service, with a round-trip discount ticket available for NT$276.
