The 1st Railway Bento Festival Kicks Off on July 17 — A Grand Collection of Taiwanese and Japanese Railway Bento Boxes

The “2015 1st Railway Bento Festival” is about to begin. Organized by Taiwan Railways Administration within the “2015 Taiwan Culinary Exhibition” at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 from July 17 to 20, the first-ever Railway Bento Festival has been specially curated, inviting Japan’s JR East, Seibu Railway, and Keikyu Electric Railway to participate. A total of 11 exhibitors will gather, featuring 14 distinctive railway bento boxes.

In addition to inviting Japan’s East Japan Railway Company, Seibu Railway Co., Ltd., and Keikyu Corporation, the “2015 1st Railway Bento Festival” also features participants such as Taiwan High Speed Rail, Nostalgic Platform Train Head Bento, Tang Ji Restaurant, Li Dao Village Guanshan Bento, along with four in-house railway dining restaurants operated by Taiwan Railways.

The featured bento boxes include JR East’s Beef Sukiyaki Bento and E7 Series Shinkansen Bento, Seibu Railway’s Unagi Don (grilled eel over rice), Keikyu Electric Railway’s Tuna...<、台湾高铁的古早味肉排佐油葱米粉便当、油葱腿仁排佐金瓜米粉便当，台铁七堵餐厅的宜兰樱桃鸭风味便当、台北餐厅的香椿红?舞蔬果便当及梅肉梅菜便当、台中餐厅的蔬柿味噌旗鱼便当、高雄餐厅的阿里山便当等，并首度推出之创意菜饭吐司与幸福饭团。

Additionally, there are nostalgic metal box bento boxes from Toufen Train Head Bento, nostalgic platform bento from Tang Ji Restaurant, and Guanshan signature rice from Li Dao Village Guanshan Bento.
