Apeng has passed away peacefully. Classmates initiate the “Soft Blue Food Guide – Bitter Lotus Graduation Special Exhibition”

The blogger behind the Soft Blue Food Guide – Bitter Lotus (real name: Lin Jingpeng) passed away on the evening of the 16th. His high school and university classmate, Weixin, organizedthe “Soft Blue Food Guide – Bitter Lotus Graduation Special Exhibition” event, inviting everyone to upload messages and photos they’d like to share with Bitter Lotus to the event page by July 23. So far, 108 people have participated.

Weixin said: “Apeng would probably have wanted to be remembered in a special way and to live on in people’s hearts. So Weixin plans to prepare a farewell gift for yB (a nickname for Apeng) on the day of the memorial service, including a life review video, a compiled portfolio of his works, and to organize his poetry into a book, which has now been approved by the family.” He also stated: “The event is public, so anyone who knew Apeng can participate.”

Weixin also mentioned that Apeng had a wide circle of friends, and that everyone knew just one side of yB. It will take a collective effort to piece together the mosaic of yB’s remarkable life. Anyone with photos related to Apeng, especially portraits, or any related writings, can upload them to the event page. Weixin will collect this material and compile it into a booklet to be shown at Lin Jingpeng’s memorial service. Any changes to event details will be updated on the event page.
