A Must-Visit for British Drama Fans: Pay Homage at Seoul’s Sherlock Holmes-Themed Café

Have you watched the British TV series “Sherlock”? Though many have played Sherlock Holmes, I truly think this version is fantastic, with tons of positive reviews online. I haven’t met anyone who didn’t like it (haha), so I highly recommend it. The male lead is incredibly handsome—his neurotic charm is just the best. In Seoul’s Gangnam district, there’s a Sherlock Holmes-themed café that attracts many fans of the show. Be sure to set aside time to visit and enjoy a coffee while paying homage to your favorite detective series.

The café is located in the basement of a building, surrounded by many office workers. On the day I visited, the place was bustling with customers picking up takeaway coffees.

221B is, of course, the famous address where Sherlock lives on Baker Street—everyone knows it, right?

The interior of the café is actually really nice.

The staff uniforms are all coordinated too, except for the lady on the left—who might be the owner or manager.

I really liked this seating area, but unfortunately, it was fully occupied. The geometric design gives off a maze-like vibe, which fits Sherlock’s detective persona perfectly.

Even the dog has black-and-white polka dots too.

The walls are covered with stills from the show!!! There’s even the main actor himself!!!

They sell plenty of Sherlock Holmes merchandise here, all officially licensed.

Why is even the simple shopping bag so stylish!!!

See the main character? Benedict Cumberbatch—what a hard name to pronounce. When I saw posts from other netizens before, there were tons of book covers featuring him here, but now only three designs remain, and they seem to rotate frequently.

Even the tissues say 221B.

After ordering drinks, the takeaway cup sleeves also say “221B in Seoul.” Too bad it’s just a silhouette, not an actual photo of the main character.

By the way, there was a special discount today—how lucky am I?!

Sipping a great cup of coffee while being surrounded by Sherlock Holmes vibes made for such a wonderful afternoon. Now I want to rewatch Season 3 (even though that ending was a bit frustrating—how long do I have to wait for Season 4???)

Watch out for a 7-Eleven at the corner.
