Dubai Beaches "Plant" Smart Palm Trees That Offer Charging and Free WiFi

Can't get WiFi on the beach?According to the UK's Daily Mail, Dubai has launched "Smart Palms" that not only allow people to charge their devices but also provide free WiFi access — a huge benefit for those planning a Dubai vacation.
This summer, Dubai introduced a new facility for visitors. The "Smart Palms" enhance mobile phone charging convenience and offer free internet access within a 100-meter radius. There are a total of eight Smart Palms. The design firm utilizes solar energy to power the trees. One is located at Surf Beach, and another in a nearby seaside park.
Although there are only eight at present, the project is set to expand to 103 locations across Dubai. Each tree stands approximately 6 meters tall. "The palm tree is an important symbol of identity for Dubai residents. We’ve transformed it from a residential and construction material image into the Smart Palm," said founder Viktor Nelepa. However, the official price of each tree has not yet been disclosed.
