Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation has launched “3C free charging service zones” at Taipei Arena and Taipei Main Station starting today, offering emergency charging for mobile phones or other mobile devices to help the public avoid the hassle of a dead phone with no place to charge.

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation stated that Taipei Arena hosts major cultural, exhibition, and concert events annually, attracting millions of visitors.Therefore, it has specially added four free charging service zones on the second-floor red and purple zones and the third-floor yellow zone corridors, using wooden platforms integrated with vertical garden wall concepts.These are available for public use.

The four charging zones are equipped with a total of 38 sets of charging sockets (each set includes one 110V power socket and one USB charging port), plus one existing set of two free charging sockets near the service counter on the first floor, which can provide emergency charging for 80 mobile phones or other mobile devices simultaneously.

In addition,on the passageway from Taipei Metro Taipei Main Station to Zhongshan Underground Street, the largest charging service zone on the Taipei Metro has also been created.On a white wavy long platform, there are50 sets of white charging sockets, each including one 110V power socket and two USB charging ports, capable of providing emergency charging for 150 mobile phones or other mobile devices..
