Last updated 2026-09-24 — Last time, I was planning to go eat at Kenda Café with Meiji, but we ended up passing by a new North Bay Café instead, so we didn’t get to go. Thankfully, North Bay Café wasn’t bad—it’s a vegetarian place, XD. So this Saturday morning, Meiji and I decided to head back to Kenda Café, but luck was really on our side because Kenda Café was actually closed for a staff retreat... So what could we do? We thought we’d check out Dazhi District to see if we could find any brunch options.

Last time, I was planning to go eat at Kenda Café with Meiji, but we ended up passing by a new North Bay Café instead, so we didn’t get to go.

So we wandered into this Yorkshire Restaurant. The sign outside saying “No service charge on all menu items” caught our attention, XD. So we went with this one.

The interior is pretty nice, and maybe because it was still early, there weren’t many customers.

Both Lao K and Meiji ordered the “Mr. Yorkshire.” On the left, you pick one from six egg-cooking styles, and on the right, five sides. It also comes with a freshly made juice. The price is actually quite reasonable.

If you add a drink, it’s half price. We ordered an Americano and a classic latte.

Freshly Made Juice (Complimentary with Meal)

This juice feels very healthy—something like beetroot with celery or other veggies. It’s not too sweet.

Americano (Ala carte 110 TWD, Half Price with Meal), Classic Latte (Ala carte 160 TWD, Half Price with Meal)

Lao K thought the coffee cup was super cute. On the left is the latte, on the right is the Americano. The Americano is quite rich and aromatic—pretty good. Meiji said her latte tasted better because the milk aroma reduced the bitterness.

French Toast + Bacon, German Sausage (210 TWD)

This is what Lao K ordered. The shape of the French toast is actually pretty unique—it’s long and rectangular. It came with two big slices of bacon, one German sausage, and some lettuce.

When you cut into the French toast, the outside is soft and moist while the inside remains fluffy. It’s a very unique texture—the moist part really feels like eating pudding, while the inside is fluffy yet slightly springy. The combo of these two textures works surprisingly well, though the flavor is on the milder side.

Of course, we had to add some of the included honey. With the sweet aroma of honey, it becomes truly delicious. Since the toast is a bit dense, it’s also quite filling.

The bacon is really thick, not overly crispy, and pretty tasty. It also gives a different flavor when eaten with the toast.

The German sausage has a nice bounce to it, but compared to the French toast, it’s a bit more average.

Yorkshire Pudding + Grilled Spice Vegetables (230 TWD)

This Yorkshire pudding looks kind of like a savory pie. On top are grilled spice vegetables. Meiji really loves grilled veggies.

The texture of this Yorkshire pudding is somewhat similar to the French toast—soft and custardy on top—but the crust is crispy, and the bread itself is denser, with a rich savory flavor. Lao K thinks this one is also really good.

Let’s do a taste combo—top is the savory Yorkshire pudding, bottom is the sweet French toast. Both sweet and savory are full of character and really tasty.

Lao K’s Little Tip: It was my first time trying such unique French toast and Yorkshire pudding. Definitely order both—the sweet and savory pairing is excellent. Not too crowded at the moment, so you can enjoy a laid-back brunch experience. Don’t miss out if you love that custardy texture.

Lao K’s Personal Rating (out of 10, higher is better)
Taste: 8/10
Value: 7.5/10
Ambience: 7/10
Price: 7/10
