According to statistics from the Civil Aeronautics Administration, as of the end of 2014, the number of passengers traveling on low-cost airlines in Taiwan had reached 3.2 million. To meet the growing demand for budget air travel, EVA Airways’ online travel agency, EasyFlyer (易飞网), officially launched its “Easy Low-Cost Takeoff” (廉航易起飞) low-cost airline booking platform today (August 12). The platform integrates five domestic and international budget airlines, making it easier for travelers to search for and book flights.

This booking platform integrates five low-cost airlines: Tigerair Taiwan, Scoot, Jetstar Asia, AirAsia, and VietJet Air. On the website, travelers can directly search for flights from each airline, check seat availability, make payments, and receive e-tickets. In addition to facilitating price comparisons, travelers who wish to use different airlines or fly to/from various airports can also more conveniently mix and match their choices on the site.

Li Ke-jing, CEO of EasyFlyer, stated that the platform is designed with user experience in mind. In addition to the current five airlines, more carriers are expected to join by the end of the year, and the platform also hopes to include flight routes to other countries in the future.

EasyFlyer also noted that to celebrate the launch of the “Easy Low-Cost Takeoff” platform, an opening event will be held on the campaign website from August 12 to September 22. In addition to enjoying discounts on flight bookings and add-on purchases, the public will also have the chance to win round-trip tickets to designated destinations.
