First international brand in Nangang | Zhuang Fengru: Taipei Marriott Nanjing Aurora Hotel to open in mid-December

Zhuang Fengru, Chief Operating Officer of Lai Fung Travel GroupAt noon on the 19th, announced at a press conference that the Taipei Marriott Nanjing Aurora Hotel, located in Nangang, will grandly open in mid-December this year, with preparations nearly complete. Zhuang believes,the tourism industry will be a key sector for Taiwan, and a large recruitment event is planned for October, aiming to hire nearly 400 talents.
The Taipei Marriott Nanjing Aurora Hotel is the first international brand hotel in Nangang, leveraging the convenient transportation of the four-rail convergence, and features465 guest rooms and 8 banquet halls. For weddings, it introduces the “Colorful Wedding” themed wedding packages. Zhuang Fengru stated that as an international brand,there is room to target the price range between NT$5,000 and NT$6,000, and mentioned that about 20 to 30 couples have already booked wedding packages. Regarding competitors, Zhuang said there are no direct rivals, nor has a specific target been set, hoping instead to carve out its own path; the room types aim to attract younger business travelers, and as an American brand, it also hopes to capture a significant number of American guests.
Although hotel occupancy rates in Taipei were generally low in the first half of the year, Lai Fung’s performance was quite good, though Zhuang Fengru noted there is still room for improvement. For example, previous offerings like the Silk Road Banquet and aged steak were well received with positive reviews, and he emphasized the need to continue striving for excellence in management.
