“Urban Water Slide” Coming to Toucheng, Yilan in September

The globally popular “Slide the City” will make its Taiwan debut on September 25, featuring an 800-meter-long slide in Toucheng, Yilan. The event also features a unique route that crosses over a railway, offering a distinctive urban sliding experience. Tickets are required for entry, starting at NT$300 per ride.

“Slide the City” originated in Salt Lake City, USA, and is known for laying out approximately 1,000-meter-long, 22-meter-wide water slides in city streets, weaving through urban buildings to provide a thrilling sliding experience. The trend has gained popularity worldwide and has been held in more than 200 locations. After stops in Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong, Slide the City’s first Taiwan stop is in Toucheng, Yilan. The slide is set up on the Kailan Bridge, incorporating Taiwanese characteristics. This is the first time a slide route will pass over a railway, although due to space constraints, the slide length is 800 meters this time.
