The “2015 Penghu Light & Fireworks Show” kicked off on the night of Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day), this year themed “Joyful Journey to the Chrysanthemum Island,” and held in grand style at Magong’s Guanyin Pavilion. Starting tomorrow (the 23rd), there will be seven light and fireworks shows at the pavilion, with four performances daily, each featuring different music to showcase local character and illuminate the Penghu night sky.

The 2015 Penghu Light & Fireworks Show is the first-ever 3D “light and fireworks show,” featuring both aerial fireworks and Japanese-style water-based pyrotechnics. In addition to the spectacular performances at Magong’s Guanyin Pavilion, there will also be a light show and fireworks display on Jibei Island at 8:00 PM on September 10th, making summer and autumn in Penghu even more exciting.
