Beef lovers, rejoice. There’s now another place in Taipei serving Tainan-sourced fresh beef hot pot, delivered the very same day. Located on Section 1, Fuxing South Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, “Beef BēiBēi Taiwan Fresh Beef Hot Pot” just officially opened in early July. They carefully select premium fresh beef from Tainan, delivering it daily straight from the farm without freezing or processing, ensuring customers enjoy the freshest, most authentic beef possible. The broth is also made daily using beef bones and plenty of fruits and vegetables, with no artificial additives, so you can enjoy delicious and worry-free meals.
In addition to tasty hot pot beef, there are also many specialty beef dishes, prepared using light stir-frying, quick sautéing, high heat, and deep frying. You can enjoy multiple cuts of beef in one meal – super flavorful and great with rice. Now let’s take a look at how delicious “Beef BēiBēi Taiwan Fresh Beef Hot Pot” really is.
%Jibā (conveniently located between two MRT stations)! It’s situated right in the middle of Zhongxiao Fuxing Station and Nanjing Fuxing Station on the MRT line, just a five-minute walk away, and street parking is quite convenient. There are also four paid parking lots nearby, making transportation very easy.

%Jibā (conveniently located between two MRT stations)! The restaurant has two floors, with the first floor being more casual and mostly used by office workers for lunch.

%The interior is simple and elegant, suitable for all kinds of diners. The tables use an induction cooker for the hot pot, which is where the pot is placed. There’s also a side station offering dipping sauces that guests can help themselves to. On the wall, there’s a diagram showing different cuts of beef and their nutritional values – a helpful reference for those interested.

%Each table is equipped with an electric hot plate, which is where the hot pot goes. There’s also a side area with dipping sauces available for guests to take as they like. A chart on the wall shows the various parts of beef and their nutritional benefits, which curious diners can check out.

%There are many options available, not limited to just beef. There are also beef ball soups, beef tendon soups, pork ball soups, sliced meats, fried rice, and more – the selection is quite rich, and they’re especially popular with groups.

%When our food arrived, everything looked so good that we accidentally ordered way too much.

%We were particularly satisfied with our set meals and the side beef dishes, which looked really appetizing.

%The Basic Hot Pot (180 TWD) comes with basic ingredients such as cabbage, taro, tomatoes, tofu skin, and enoki mushrooms. All of this for just 180 TWD per pot – what a great deal.

%Their broth is especially made using only premium ingredients such as beef bones, tomatoes, and a large amount of leafy greens, with no added MSG, salt, chicken essence, or other artificial seasonings. As a result, it has a very natural and rich taste, making it super comforting and delicious.

%The vegetable stir-fry is also colorful and looks super appealing – just looking at it makes you want to dig in.

%The Premium Beef Hot Pot (480 TWD) features beef with beautifully marbled fat, looking super tender and delicious. Their beef is carefully selected from premium Tainan fresh beef, delivered daily, ensuring customers enjoy the freshest, most authentic local beef.

%The Hand-Cut Beef Hot Pot (350 TWD) – their hand-sliced beef is beautifully arranged, almost like a blooming flower, making you want to start cooking it right away.

%The fresh beef here is not pre-frozen or heavily processed. It’s delivered fresh from the source every day – that’s why it tastes the freshest and most delicious.

%The restaurant staff recommend that we cook the beef in the traditional way – placing it in the pot first, then adding the broth once it’s ready.

%We found that cooking the beef for about 5 seconds once the broth boils is ideal, as the meat turns the perfect pink shade. It’s super tender, juicy, and full of the original beef flavor – even without any dipping sauce, it’s delicious.

%The presentation is also quite nice, and when you dip it in the sauce, the flavors blend perfectly, making it hard to resist taking another bite.

%The Local Fresh Beef Hot Pot (280 TWD) might not have as much marbling, but it still offers the original sweet taste of beef. Tainan fresh beef is truly amazing.

%The Spicy Beef Tendon Hot Pot (380 TWD) looks fiery red at first glance and seems very spicy, but it’s actually not that hot at all.

%The spicy level is mild and fragrant, not too hot, making it super easy to eat.

%The flavor is bold and rich, with a bit of spice, but it’s actually quite addictive. Though the taste is stronger, I really loved it.

%The Thai-style Beef Hot Pot (380 TWD) also uses fresh beef, cooked to three or four parts done, and served with a special Thai sauce – a great dish for summer.

%The Thai-style Beef Hot Pot is very flavorful and aromatic, with a refreshing aftertaste. It’s not too spicy or heavy, and pairs well with both rice and noodles.

%The Fragrant Beef Ball Soup (380 TWD) – as soon as it was served, the aroma was incredible, making me eager to try it.

%It’s made with a rich beef broth base and served with tender beef balls. The combination of flavors is both satisfying and addictive.

This dish is also a big hit among foodies. It's the first time DaKou has tried such a unique beef preparation!

[NT$380], which seems inspired by the concept of Five-Spice Intestines and Chili, but the ingredients inside are all different parts of beef like beef heart and beef liver!

When you put it in your mouth, it bursts with flavor, and there's no single dominant taste. The textures are richly layered with every bite—perfectly paired with plain rice as well!

[Spicy Stir-Fried Beef Medley] ([NT$380]) is stir-fried with green onions and onions to bring out the aroma. You get to enjoy multiple cuts of beef in one dish—it's incredibly satisfying!

[Beef with Three Treasures] includes tripe, omasum, omasum slices, and other parts. When cooked, it becomes tender and flavorful, with no overly gamey taste. It's incredibly comforting and delicious.

The [Beef with Rice Wine] pairs perfectly with the different beef textures. It’s not too strong, and the alcohol burns off nicely. It also goes very well with beer (not suitable for those under 18).

[Stir-Fried Beef Heart] ([NT$380]) not only has a variety of ingredients but also a generous portion of beef heart. It looks absolutely delicious!

The [Stir-Fried Beef Heart] here has a mild taste, and the texture isn't tough at all. On the contrary, the different beef cuts are quite tender. The stir-fried beef is also sliced thinly and tastes wonderful. It's not gamey either—very enjoyable!

[Grilled Beef] has a different flavor profile from other beef dishes. It's less chewy and more bouncy, with a very firm and elastic texture.

[Beef with Green Onion and Onion] ([NT$380]) boasts an exceptionally gorgeous plating. The portion is also very generous—it just makes you want to dig in right away!

The [Beef with Green Onion and Onion] here has a smooth texture. The onion doesn’t overpower the beef, nor does it feel sticky or scratchy in the throat. Instead, it’s tender, Q-textured, and not at all what you’d expect from liver.

The [Beef Liver] doesn’t have that intimidating raw liver smell, nor does it leave a sandy, sticky sensation in the throat. Instead, it’s soft, tender, and Q-textured. It doesn’t taste anything like liver as you’d imagine!

[Beef Kidney with Sesame Oil] ([NT$380]) includes not only beef kidney but also ingredients like sesame oil, napa cabbage, goji berries, and old ginger. It looks super nourishing!

The [Beef Kidney] dish has a very robust flavor. The beef kidney is quite tender, and the dish also includes tripe and omasum. The tastes complement each other well. The method of preparation is also unique, similar to how you'd cook pork belly, resulting in a richly flavored dish that’s quite delicious.
