On September 1, China Airlines unveiled its new uniforms. Flight attendants and ground staff gathered at 2:30 p.m. in the first-floor lobby of Taichung Airport’s International Terminal to perform a five-minute dance flash mob, delighting passengers who eagerly captured the rare moment on their phones and shared it on Facebook.

The flash mob was initiated by Chen Ziling, a supervisor at the Taichung station of China Airlines with nearly 10 years of service. Expressing her deep love for her job, she hoped to organize a flash mob at Taichung Airport and took the opportunity of the uniform change to rally her colleagues to plan the event.

Another supervisor, Huang Yanxiong, who has a background in dance, selected the music for this performance. He chose Katy Perry’s song “Fireworks” because he personally loves the lyrics: “Light the spark in your heart, show your strength, because you are unique and irreplaceable.” Through stylish jazz dance moves, they interpreted the elegance and fashion of the new uniforms, as well as the passionate and energetic image of China Airlines employees.
