Last updated 2026-09-25 — It’s rare to find foreign-flavored crêpes in Yilan, topped with various ingredients. Although in France, crêpes are typically a main dish, here they’re paired with braised beef, roasted duck breast, scallops, seafood, and more on the crêpe, offering a unique twist and exciting experience. This place uses traditional Brittany crêpes combined with classic French dishes, all made with authentic French ingredients and recipes. Next time you’re gathering with friends, give it a try!!

The area around the Yilan Cipher Museum is practically the hub of Yilan’s tourist factories—from Tangerine Township, Yilan Cipher Museum, Sabellina Stamps, to Mountain Village Fort ~~ there are so many uniquely themed tourist spots that you could easily spend the whole day exploring just this area. Of course, it’s quite crowded here, mostly with tourists, and not many locals. But recently, a French crêperie opened inside the Yilan Cipher Museum, and the sugar-poached orange brandy flavor crêpe, paired with tea from French Mariage Frères, is truly a delight.

Its entrance is right next to the parking lot, decorated with the French flag symbolizing liberty, equality, and fraternity, and the building has a touch of foreign flair.

The other entrance has an even stronger exotic vibe, which feels even more fitting.

This side is designed for those who want to take their crêpes to go.

Our group of three adults and four kids walked into the restaurant, and we all couldn’t help but exclaim!!! Wow~~~ what a huge restaurant, and such beautiful murals!!

What most people wouldn’t pay much attention to—the ceiling—is actually the highlight here. Looking up, there are numerous European and American murals, each one vivid and lifelike.

It feels like you’ve stepped into a European cathedral or art gallery—absolutely stunning!!! Each mural is worth admiring, and we couldn’t stop enjoying them.

Some of the wall decorations and even the hanging ornaments are authentically imported items from abroad.

In European homes, it’s common to buy plates and hang them on the walls as decor. Of course, these plates have intricate hand-painted designs, and some are even family heirlooms.

Even the floor tiles have a European touch, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Compared to the bustling crowds outside, this place feels like a little world of its own!!

There’s also an entire wall decorated with hats—super cute.

There are also charming decorations by the windows, and this row of Vespa scooters caught Little Beige’s eye.

Such a focused expression!!! They must really want to take them home.

French Sweet Crêpes: Sugar-Poached Orange Brandy, Honey Melody; French Savory Crêpes; Parisian Spiced Butter Chicken; Bordeaux Red Wine Braised Beef; Normandy White Wine Seafood Stew; Pan-Fried Duck Breast /// Drinks: Mariage Frères French Mariage Brothers Tea

This is today’s daily soup.

There’s also a bit of bacon bits and croutons on top—the presentation is quite nice.

Haha, this soup really hits the spot for kids, and it’s quite filling too.

Bordeaux Red Wine Braised Beef
Basically, it’s a bit like a casual meal—some salad, a main dish, except the regular rice is replaced with a chewy crêpe!! But when you first taste the crêpe brushed with a bit of rich sauce, it’s actually quite delicious.

The main dish’s beef is braised quite well, with a good balance of fat and lean, and the texture is great.

This is really the duck slice meal!!

The duck meat is also quite good—not dry or greasy.

You can dip it in the sauce on the side for an even better flavor.

The Normandy White Wine Seafood Stew might be the best among these set meals.

The sauce is rich but still refreshing, with squid, scallops, and shrimp—all prepared very well, and the textures are all Q (chewy and tender).

The scallops are generously portioned—it’s very generous.

Parisian spiced cream chicken — this stewed chicken has a curry-like aroma!

I always feel that if this dish were plated more like a simple Chinese meal, it would look even better.

The chicken is flavorful and tender—pretty good.

The kids' main meals have only just arrived now; four little ones are eagerly waiting to eat.

Mariage Frères French tea!! This is a classic tea with a century-long history in France. It’s quite impressive for an ordinary shop to offer such tea—it’s really top-notch!

We ordered Royal Wedding and Earl Grey!!! (Of course, those are Jean’s favorites.) As the menu describes, Royal Wedding has a light chocolate and caramel aroma—fragrant, sweet, and captivating. And there’s no need to say much about Earl Grey—it’s our must-order drink. The fragrance is gentle and natural, and it has a lingering aftertaste in the throat—truly excellent!! In fact, just seeing Mariage Frères French tea on the menu gets us excited. Friends who haven’t tried it should definitely come give it a taste!

French sweet biscuit with orange wine brandy compote—this one is absolutely amazing!!!! Mascarpone cheese paired with mixed berries, further highlighted by the orange wine sauce—it’s simply divine. Jean actually thinks the sweet version wins; it’s very suitable for ladies’ afternoon tea!

Some versions of this dessert are flambéed with orange wine, burning off the alcohol while leaving the sweet aroma—but they don’t do that here!! Haha, but it’s still really delicious. We think the dessert version is even better than the savory one, allowing the flavor of the pastry crust to shine more.

The smooth texture of the cheese combined with the sweet-sourness of the berries is truly a perfect match. The texture is also first-rate, and the pastry crust soaks up the sauce, making it even tastier!!

Oh~~ my mouth is watering.

Honey Harmony

This one has a relatively richer flavor profile, featuring ice cream, caramel sauce, and crispy wafers.

Inside is caramelized banana compote. Bananas and caramel are also a great pair—it’s really delicious. No exaggeration—sold out instantly!!

It’s rare to find foreign-style thin-crust pizzas in Yilan topped with various ingredients. Although thin-crust pizza in restaurants is usually considered a full main dish, the combination of braised beef, roast duck breast, scallop seafood... and other toppings on the crust brings different expectations and experiences. This place uses traditional Breton crusts paired with classic French dishes, with ingredients and recipes all following traditional French methods. Next time you’re gathering with friends, give it a try!!
