YouBike has become an indispensable mode of transportation for commuters in Taipei, but many popular rental stations often face shortages of available bikes or parking spaces. On the 10th, the Taipei City Department of Transportation released the “Top 10 Most Difficult-to-Rent-and-Return YouBike Stations” for August, with the rental station at Exit 5 of Nangang Exhibition Center MRT Station ranking on both lists — making it the hardest station to rent from or return bikes to.

This ranking uses the frequency of instances where there were no bikes available to rent or no parking spaces for over 20 minutes as the statistical criteria. The top three hardest stations to rent bikes from are Exit 5 of Nangang Exhibition Center MRT Station, Nangang World Trade Park, and Xinyi Plaza (Taipei 101); the top three hardest stations to return bikes to are Yongji & Songxin Intersection, Roosevelt & Xinsheng South Intersection, and Taipei City Hall Station.
