Autumn is the peak season for the plumpest crabs, with their delicious roe and crab fat winning over many foodies, while hairy crabs from mainland China are a favorite among many. Although restaurants serving hairy crabs seem to have become fewer recently, three hotels and restaurants are now offering unlimited all-you-can-eat hairy crabs, satisfying food lovers' cravings in one go.

Regent Taipei’s Cloud Lounge Western Restaurant
Launches its all-you-can-eat hairy crab promotion again. Starting September 26, during lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner hours, hairy crabs are served steamed to order. Priced at NT$1,480+10% per person. The buffet spread includes over 20 varieties of fresh organic vegetables, Japanese tempura, seasonal fresh seafood, a variety of freshly squeezed juices, made-to-order pasta, Mövenpick ice cream, and an array of exquisite desserts—all available in unlimited quantities. Chef Wang Fuli of Cloud Lounge steams live crabs tied with perilla leaves at the bottom, which not only neutralizes the crabs’ chill but also adds a fragrant layer of flavor, while the simple steaming method fully preserves the rich crab fat and tender meat.

Pin Hua Yuan
Pin Hua Yuan Buffet, operated by Yunlan Tourism Group, also launches its all-you-can-eat hairy crab promotion starting October 12. Crabs are steamed to order and served individually at the table. On Thursdays and Fridays, dinner is NT$1,180+10% per person, while weekend lunches and dinners are NT$1,280+10%. To preserve the authentic flavor of the hairy crabs, Pin Hua Yuan’s executive director Wu Zhengwei steams live crabs tied with perilla leaves at the bottom, which removes the chill and the simple “upside-down steaming” method fully retains the rich crab fat and juicy, tender meat. The crabs are steamed to order and served individually in bamboo steamers with ginger tea, adding a touch of warmth to the indulgent experience.
