Taiwanese people love salmon, whether grilled, pan-fried, or made into sushi—it’s a favorite for many. However, few know that over 30% of the tens of thousands of tons of salmon imported into Taiwan each year is supplied by Marine Harvest Group. To boost brand awareness, Marine Harvest established the salmon specialty brand “Marine Harvest SupremeSalmo” in Taiwan, opening two casual dining outlets that offer a variety of delicious salmon dishes.

Marine Harvest Group is a publicly listed company in Norway and the world’s largest supplier of salmon. It operates salmon farms in the waters of Canada, Norway, and Chile. Many restaurants in Taiwan also source their salmon from Marine Harvest, making it the island’s top salmon supplier. It also supplies major retailers such as Costco and RT-Mart. However, most Taiwanese people are unfamiliar with Marine Harvest. Melody, PR representative for Marine Harvest SupremeSalmo, said that to enhance brand visibility, they opened the casual dining restaurant Marine Harvest SupremeSalmo Zhongxiao Branch in 2013, followed by the Eslite Xinyi Branch and the Marine Harvest SupremeSalmo Kitchen.

The Zhongxiao and Xinyi Eslite branches of Marine Harvest SupremeSalmo target general consumers. In addition to selling fresh chilled salmon, you can also enjoy a variety of delicious salmon dishes here, such as the popular flame-grilled salmon sushi, Taiwanese-favorite salmon sashimi platters, and various international flavors like Thai-style tender grilled salmon and truffle-infused tender salmon and mushroom risotto. The goal is to encourage Taiwanese people to enjoy tastier salmon dishes and thereby promote salmon products.

Both casual dining restaurants offer salmon-based dishes, but with diverse flavor combinations to avoid customer fatigue (since salmon is the star of every dish). Options include Taiwanese-style three-cup flavor, Japanese-style sushi rice, Italian classic basil salmon pasta, Thai-style tender grilled salmon, and Thai-style cherry tomato salmon salad. However, to preserve the salmon’s natural sweetness, the flavors are kept relatively mild. Seasonal limited-time menus are also offered, such as the summer-exclusive grilled potato salad with fresh vegetables and salmon.
