Catch your own crabs and sell them yourself – fishermen from Wanli have teamed up to set up stalls at Nanya and Wanli Fishing Ports. From September 19 to November 8 over eight consecutive weekends, every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the “Fresh Wanli Crab Holiday Market” will be held at the Blue Highway Ferry Terminal in Nanya Fishing Port and the Fish Market of Wanli Fishing Port. Buy, cook, and eat on the spot – during this best season for crab, savor the fruits of the fishermen’s hard work.

With the arrival of the Wanli Crab season, the fishermen’s self-produced and self-sold live crab holiday market also kicked off on September 19. In the past, the live crab holiday market was only held at Nanya Fishing Port, but due to high visitor numbers and overcrowded conditions, this year a new session has been added at Wanli Fishing Port. The “Fresh Wanli Crab Holiday Market” will be held at the Blue Highway Ferry Terminal in Nanya Fishing Port and the Fish Market of Wanli Fishing Port.

On the first day of sales on the 19th, Nanya Fishing Port specially invited a professional auctioneer from the Sanchong Fruit and Vegetable Market in New Taipei City to host live seafood auctions at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, giving the public a taste of the thrill of professional bidding. The holiday market at Nanya Fishing Port features live crabs as the main attraction, with on-site stalls offering steaming and cooking services. In addition to buying fresh, local, plump crabs in season, visitors can also enjoy freshly cooked crab dishes on the spot.
