Come and vote for your favorite friendly homestay. To enhance the quality and image of Taiwan’s homestays, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications launched the “Friendly Homestay Taiwan Host” certification program, inviting the public to vote on the official event website to select the best-quality friendly homestays across Taiwan.

The “Friendly for All” campaign organized by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications is open only to operators who have obtained the Friendly Homestay certification by the end of December 2015. Participating accommodations are divided into three categories:Family-friendly Homestays, Characteristic Homestays, and Hidden Gem Homestays. The Friendly Homestay campaign is held roughly once every three years. The certification is valid for three years, after which retraining is required for renewal. Friendly Homestay Voting Activity Timeline
September 15 – September 30: Online voting period
September 18 – September 25: Weekly lucky draw periods
October 1 – October 6: Vote tallying
October 7: Winners announced on the Taiwan Accommodation Network and the Friendly Homestay campaign website

Online Voting Instructions
1. Register by providing your name, phone number, and E-mail on the campaign website to gain access to the voting page.
2. All participants during the campaign period are eligible for the lucky draw. Each account may vote once per day, with up to 6 votes per category (3 categories total), amounting to 18 votes per day. The more you vote daily, the higher your chances of winning.
3. The voting menu is divided into three categories, with homestays appearing randomly on the page and not in fixed numerical order.
4. The organizers will randomly select winners for each prize phase from all participating members, giving away a total of 100 sets of Friendly Homestay experience vouchers.

Lucky Draw Schedule
Each lucky draw phase will take place at the following times, with prizes to be mailed starting October 16, 2015.

First phase draw on September 18
Second phase draw on September 25
Third phase draw on October 2
Unified announcement of draw winners on October 7

Participants in the online voting: 100 winners will receive homestay experience vouchers
Online Popularity King Award: 1 winner   Prize of NT$50,000
Family-Friendly Homestay Award: 3 winners   Prize of NT$50,000 each
Hidden Gem Homestay Award: 3 winners   Prize of NT$50,000 each
