New attraction in Reed Community: 3D paintings of fiddler crabs & marine waste art

Recently, 3D paintings have appeared in Reed Community, Kenting, as part of the first-ever "Artist-in-Residence Works Solicitation" event organized by Kenting National Park Headquarters this year. Two artists—Tsai I-hua and Chen Chin-hui—started creating 3D paintings in Port Community and Reed Community respectively from September 3.

Tsai I-hua from Taipei incorporated iconic elements of Port Village:banyan tree garden, moonlit sea, fiddler crabs, flying fish, and bamboo raftsto complete the 3D painting titled “The Adventure Story of Port Community.” Meanwhile, Chen Chin-hui from Hsinchu usedmarine waste to create art piecesand collaborated with community members to produce the work “Wind Translation.”

The artworks are displayed in Reed Community, Kenting,featuring land crabs in 3D paintings and using soil, natural materials, and recycled items to create art,becoming the most unique visual symbol of Reed Community. Through these 3D paintings, the hope is to promote eco-tourism in new and engaging ways.
