Hong Kong Ocean Park welcomes Halloween, its annual highlight“Haunt Up: Halloween Festival” celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, featuring 8 newly built haunted houses and 10 different types of experiences, with the highest production cost ever. Since experimenting with haunted houses in 2001, they have been very popular since their launch. Three years ago, the “Full-Day Festival” began, featuring both cute haunted houses suitable for families and terrifying zones that challenge your limits!

With “Haunt Up: Halloween Festival,” as soon as you step into Hong Kong Ocean Park, the whole venue is immersed in a rich Halloween vibe. In addition to the ubiquitous themed pumpkin lanterns, you can also take photos with“Chinese and Western monsters and ghosts”on the streets. Their professional makeup and elaborate props might just give you a real fright when they unexpectedly appear in the crowded crowd!

After visiting these harmless and adorable Halloween attractions, if you're still not satisfied, you can gather your courage to challenge four truly scary haunted houses. At specific times throughout the park, there are also plenty of performances to enjoy. One show we especially recommend that you shouldn’t miss is:“Extreme Joy Ghost Sports Meet”! Although the entire performance is in Cantonese, don’t worry if you don’t understand—it’s easy to just sit back and enjoy their hilarious and skillful dance moves, plus the funny competitions among all kinds of mythical creatures. Language barriers will be completely forgotten as you soak up the magic of this show!

Experience the “HalloWishes All-Day Festival” at Ocean Park, where one ticket gets you access from 10:00 AM all the way to 11:00 PM. However, the park is quite large, and the haunted houses are scattered across different locations, so it’s recommended to grab a map upon entry and roughly plan your route to avoid wasting time on backtracking. Of course, for first-time visitors to Ocean Park, besides the haunted houses, the park’s rides, oceanarium, penguin exhibit, panda exhibit, and shark exhibit are also highly worthwhile attractions.
