The Guanyin Hall Tourist Scenic Area is situated in Xianglian Township on the northern plateau of Kongtong District, more than 30 kilometers from the urban area. Surrounded by rolling mountains, the site features ancient trees around the temple, fine streams trickling down the rocky slopes, converging into a crescent-shaped clear spring known as the "Spirit Vulture Pool." According to inscriptions, a temple was originally built here between the Song and Yuan dynasties, and it underwent multiple renovations during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), a major renovation took place, constructing the Grand Hall of Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Children’s Palace, the Veda Temple, the Wenchang Pavilion, the Prayer Niche, the Dragon Spring Dripping Pearls, and the Spirit Vulture Pool. The area has enjoyed continuous incense offerings and steady streams of visitors throughout the seasons. During the temple fair on the 19th day of the second lunar month, pilgrims and local festival-goers flock here from near and far, creating a lively atmosphere that makes it the largest temple fair on the western plateau.
