Located in Sanwangcheng Village, Sanyang Town, Jingshan County, the Shuimofan Site is a heritage site from the Shang and Zhou dynasties and the Han Dynasty. It spans roughly 800 meters in the north-south direction and about 500 meters east-west, covering an area of approximately 360,000 square meters, with a cultural layer 1.2 to 2 meters thick. The surface features numerous pottery shards, tiles, and red fired earth. The upper layer of the site contains abundant relics, with collected pottery fragments mainly consisting of gray clay pottery, along with a small number of yellow and orange pottery pieces, and very few sandy red pottery fragments. The decorative patterns are predominantly rope impressions and string patterns, with fewer grid patterns, incised lines, and pockmarked textures. Artifacts include jars, basins, urns, vats, and steamer baskets, while there is also a significant number of building materials such as flat tiles, cylindrical tiles, and rope-patterned bricks. The lower layer has compact soil containing a small number of rope-patterned red pottery shards, with artifacts including cooking vessels such as li tripods. Based on historical records, the Shuimofan Site may be the site of the ancient city of Xinsi from the Han Dynasty, and holds high research value.
