The magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct soars over the Vale of Dee and is a key part of the Llangollen Canal. Completed in 1805, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain, listed as a Grade I structure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Welsh Comic Con, which attracts thousands of visitors, the grand St. Giles' Church, Erdigg Hall built between 1684 and 1687, Chirk Castle constructed in 1295, the Wrexham County Museum showcasing local history and art, and the historic buildings lining the streets are all well worth visiting. In addition, the shopping streets lined with numerous brand-name stores are a paradise for shoppers, while unique boutiques, cafés, and traditional cuisine are absolute must-sees.
