The Mingun Pahtodawgyi is located on a small island in the center of the river, giving it a distinctive charm compared to other pagodas. Visiting the water-bound pagoda requires taking a ferry, during which you can see the Mingun Bridge and the charming colonial-style town of Mingun. This town was once a Portuguese colonial port, and its scenic countryside and traditional Burmese stilt houses nestled among greenery offer a unique atmosphere.
It is a notable local custom for devotees to release fish here, and visitors can also feed the fish.
