  Dingming Mountain—Canal Scenic Area is the collective name for the tourist attractions in Tongnan County and was designated as a municipal-level scenic area of Chongqing in 1999. It is situated within Tongnan County, approximately 150 kilometers southeast of Chongqing City and 286 kilometers northwest of Chengdu City, covering an area of 70 square kilometers. The area includes attractions such as the Dafo Temple Scenic Area, Yangang Public Cemetery, - Cemetery, Shuangjiang Ancient Town, and the man-made canal, with a total touring area of about 20 square kilometers. The Dafo Temple Scenic Area features the "Eight-Zhang Golden Immortal," the largest gilded cliff-carved Buddha statue in China, the "Sky-Supporting Buddha Character," the largest cliff-carved Buddha script, the "Great Buddha Main Hall," one of the earliest ancient buildings in China to use full-glazed tiles, and the "Stone Stairway Harp Sound," one of China’s four great ancient echo architectures. Shuangjiang Ancient Town is a nationally recognized historical and cultural town, home to well-preserved residences of - and Yangang Public, as well as complexes of traditional Qing Dynasty architecture. The Man-Made Canal Scenic Area boasts the longest artificial canal in Southwest China, stretching 15.5 kilometers, and includes sights such as the river barrier dam, a pollution-free vegetable base, and a ten-li peach blossom grove.
