Meishui Township Baishuizhai Base

The Baishuizhai Base is situated around Baishuizhai and its surrounding areas in Xinjian Village, Meishui Township, Shangyou County, with a planned total area of about 5,000 mu, including approximately 420 mu of arable land. While developing cash crops such as osmanthus, peach, plum, jujube, and bayberry on the hillsides, the base also utilizes flat fields to grow a variety of seasonal crops including vegetables, melons, fruits, corn, and sweet potatoes. This creates picturesque farmland that boasts flowers and fruits in all seasons, along with year-round greenery, offering delightful scenery. Visitors can enjoy experiences such as planting and breeding, agricultural sightseeing, fruit and vegetable picking, and rural fun, while benefiting from modern agricultural irrigation technologies (a combination of sprinkler and drip irrigation), which helps promote the large-scale development of local agricultural projects.

The Baishuizhai Osmanthus Base is 4 kilometers away from the township government seat and covers Baishui and Shuikou communities in Xinjian Village. This base is dedicated to becoming a large-scale nursery integrating ecological experiences, sightseeing, and Hakka folk culture. Covering an area of over 5,000 mu with a total investment of 25 million yuan and an annual planned investment of 5 million yuan, the base has currently planted nearly 3,000 mu. Varieties include Golden Osmanthus, Silver Osmanthus, Red Osmanthus, and Four Seasons Osmanthus, along with other plants such as camellia and nageia.
