Zhangmu Town
Leaving Xegar Town in Dingri County, continue southwest along the China-Nepal Highway, passing through Gangga Town (the former site of Dingri County, commonly known as Old Dingri), and drive another 30-plus kilometers to enter the territory of Nyalam County. Along the way, you can view Mount Everest from another angle. Zhangmu enjoys a mild climate, low altitude, flowers in bloom all year round, and beautiful scenery. Coupled with its unique geographical location, it has great potential for tourism development. After the opening of the China-Nepal Highway in 1965, economic exchanges between China and Nepal have become increasingly frequent, with a growing number of traveling merchants and goods. It has now become a major gateway for many foreign tour groups and mountaineering expeditions entering or exiting China. The Zhangmu Port is 13 kilometers from the Friendship Bridge on the China-Nepal border. Crossing the bridge and heading south for less than 90 kilometers will take you to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

In Zhangmu Town, there is the Zhangmu Hotel, as well as a number of family-run guesthouses with ethnic characteristics established by local residents, which are very popular among both domestic and international tourists.
