Located in the western scenic area of Changbai Mountain, the Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park is the first ski resort in China to use high-powered snowmobiles for full skiing transportation. It features five natural ski runs, the longest of which is an extreme ski run stretching 7 kilometers — the longest of its kind in China. The runs feature dramatic ups and downs, offering thrilling challenges. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, skiers carve through the white powder, creating swirling clouds of snow as they descend at high speed from the glistening peaks. Visitors can also ride snowmobiles through forested trails, enjoying the rugged terrain, sharp turns, and thrilling downhill runs amid the majestic mountain landscape.
To cater to beginner skiers, the ski park also has a beginner training center with professional instructors on-site. A variety of snow activities such as snow tubing, snowmobiling, and sledding are available, along with well-equipped service facilities including rest areas, ski rental services, and hot food concessions — meeting the diverse needs of both extreme sports enthusiasts and casual visitors looking to enjoy the snow.
Beyond the wealth of snow sports, visitors can also admire the breathtaking winter scenery of Changbai Mountain, including the majestic Tianchi Lake and the snow-blanketed, jade-like branches of the Changbai Mountain Grand Canyon. Glide across the slopes of this naturally formed ski park and immerse yourself in the endless fun that snowy Changbai Mountain has to offer.
Changbai Mountain has a temperate continental mountain climate, characterized by long winters and heavy snowfall. The snow is of high quality, with the snow season lasting from mid-October to mid-June each year — up to eight months — and snow depth reaching 1–2 meters, with some areas accumulating up to 3–4 meters. The snow is light, soft, fluffy, and pristine white. The Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park takes full advantage of these exceptional snow conditions. Following the natural contours of the volcanic cone, it offers a series of well-designed natural ski runs. The park spans from the alpine tundra zone at 2,500 meters above sea level down to the alpine birch forest zone at 1,700 meters, featuring an 800-meter vertical drop and ski runs extending over 8 kilometers.
The Changbai Mountain International Natural Ski Park is located 315 kilometers from Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province, and 30 kilometers from Changbai Mountain Airport. At the entrance to the western scenic area stands the four-star Blueview Days Hotel, which can accommodate over 200 guests.
