Era: Neolithic Age
Location: South of Jutai Village, Hengshui Town, Jiang County
The site covers an area of approximately 1 square kilometer, with a concentrated distribution and relatively large scale, containing abundant relics. On the ground surface, there are ash pits and a large number of pottery shards. The shards are predominantly red pottery, followed by gray pottery. The red pottery is often decorated with black painted patterns, mainly featuring deformed fish motifs and geometric designs; the gray pottery is primarily adorned with coarse cord marks and basket weave patterns. Based on the collected pottery shards, the main vessel types include bowls, pointed-bottom bottles, curved-belly basins, folded-belly basins, and jars. In addition, animal bones and polished stone tools have also been discovered. The cultural types represented are the Longshan Culture, Miaodigou Phase II, and the middle period of the Yangshao Culture.
