General's Crossing
General's Crossing is situated at the Sunkou Ferry, approximately twenty li south of Taiqian County. On the night of June 30, 1947, 100,000 troops from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th Columns of the PLA’s Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army, under the command of Commander — and Political Commissar —, crossed the Yellow River forcefully along a 300-li front from Dong'e to Pucheng. They advanced into the Central Plains, marking the beginning of the strategic offensive in the Liberation War. The Sunkou Ferry was where the headquarters of the Liu-Deng Field Army crossed the river. It came to be known as “General's Crossing.” To commemorate this significant historical event, a monument was erected here.
It is now a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit.
