桐城中学石柱刻，峭然耸立该校园东侧。柱为方形麻条石，高4.32米，边宽0.34米，顶部呈锥形，底部设基座。石柱四方，竖行阴刻两组铭文，东西两方刻魏体，字体端庄，文曰：“高峰入云，清流见底。
南北两方镌篆书，运笔流畅，文曰 “为梁为柱罔不宜，志重远者石柱刻于民国十四年(1925)，邑人书法家方守敦、方寿衡为之题书，意在激励学子，立志高远，奋发向上，成为国家梁柱。“文革”中，石柱被砸断，基座被撤毁。1982年，桐城中学八十周年校庆时重修，保持其原貌 。
